Sometimes rap can be so boring, these days I find myself indulging in depressing, minimalist music. With an absence of any real good album rap albums, barring the latest Phonte album and the OKish 9th Wonder album I discovered “Blue Sky Black Death”. Apparently they are kinda well known as they have made tracks with ahem, Hell Razah (yeah I know…), but their solo work is what interested me. They released an album in 2008 called “Slow Burning Lights” with a female vocalist, the result is a real chilled out album with a great vibe, kinda like Esthero’s first album “Breath From Another” (this is my favourite track of that Esthero album).

Free 5 song EP by Cole. Theres something I don’t like about Cole, he has no personality in his music, just the same old, same old boring one dimensional flow. He is a nice emcee but still…he lacks any real charisma to draw, me in personally as a listener, its a shame but I reckon his upcoming album is going to be one big disappointment.
