So the kid Khat is at it again and he’s finally admitted that he IS NOT a member of XO. There has been accusations of plagurism on his part regarding his videos on YouTube and his actual music. But that doesn’t mean I don’t dig his music, even though he may seem to be technically “mumbling” over other people’s beats I still like it I guess, but to each his own…
Check out his first tape Voodoo Child and his second tape Traphouse. I don’t really care about all these accusations to be honest, at least he’s finally admitted what he’s been doing. I will continue to support and check back here for the latest Khat news.
So here we go, this Khat fella is at it AGAIN, who knows what his affiliations are? Who knows if he is a legitimate artist? Who knows if he really is part of XO? I don’t really care in all honesty because this shit is straight fire! I mean the dude isn’t making any money with these free releases (obviously), so he’s not really doing anything THAT wrong. This dude is kinda killing songs right now, and this goes well with “Voodoo Child”. I need a little more time to listen before I can really find out what the original songs are, but right now nothing is really jumping out at me, barring the dubstep song “Lieutenant” and “Feather” which is what I think is dubstep interpolation of Radiohead’s classic song “Creep”.

So yesterday, or today I got my first shout out on 2dopeboyz! So super thanks to Meka and Shake for giving my blog some shine.
To continue with my XO obsession I’ve unearthed “Khat”, supposedly a member of XO and affiliate to The Weeknd. It doesn’t seem like he’s been making much noise as he’s only got 73 followers on twitter lol…but I discovered this song on youtube, and well damn he’s dope as hell.
He’s obviously a more dubstep influenced version of The Weeknd, and he has definitely got some dope production and vocals. Check out his Youtube channel for more music videos.
This track and video are my personal favourites so far.
I have to say I love how weird and moody R&B is becoming these days! Who would have thought the Canadians of all people would be killing shit these days?
